One day, while visiting Hamanami High School in Hamanami City for an interview, he happened to witness one of the female students jump off a cliff into the sea. At the spot where she jumped, there was a suicide note, which was addressed to Yuzo Tahara ( Fujita Okamoto ), a physical education teacher who is a candidate for the Japanese Olympic marathon team, whom Nishina was interviewing.
