 Description
The next stage is the open sea -- To save every life, TOKYO MER faces an unprecedented natural disaster. In 2025, following their proven success, new MER units were established in major cities across Japan, including Sapporo, Sendai, Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka. Meanwhile, Okinawa and Kagoshima began promoting the introduction of a MER unit capable of supporting remote island regions. A trial operation of the "Nankai MER" commenced, traveling among southern islands on a ferry equipped with a special vehicle, the NK1, which houses a mobile operating room. Chief doctor Kitami and nurse Natsume from TOKYO MER were dispatched as instructors to Nankai MER, dedicating themselves to providing medical care to remote islands with limited access to healthcare. One day, a sudden massive volcanic eruption strikes one of the southern islands -- lava engulfs the village, and massive volcanic rocks rain down, destroying roads and buildings. Due to the volcanic smoke, aerial rescue by helicopter becomes impossible, and it will take several dozen minutes before the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and the Japan Coast Guard can arrive. In this desperate situation, Nankai MER launches a life-risking mission to save all 79 people left stranded on the island. The deluxe edition includes a special making-of feature, an official interview collection (Ryohei Suzuki, Yosuke Eguchi, Nanao, Mahiro Takasugi, Meru Nukumi, and Emma Miyazawa), and event footage (ER Car National Departure Ceremony, Okinawa Kickoff Event for Nankai Mission, Nankai Premiere Event & Completion Screening, Opening Day Stage Greeting, and Big Hit Thank-You Stage Greeting) on the bonus disc. The main disc includes trailers, previews, and TV spots. Audio commentary by Ryohei Suzuki, Nanao, and director Aya Matsuki is also included. Comes with a replica of the official press sheet.
