Description
The remastered Blu-ray edition of "Perfect Blue" is released. Based on the novel of the same name by Yoshikazu Takeuchi, this is an authentic psycho suspense anime. It is the first feature directed by Satoshi Kon, known for "Paprika," "Millennium Actress," and "Tokyo Godfathers." Character design is by manga artist Hisashi Eguchi. After leaving an idol group and beginning activity as a rookie actress, Mima cannot hide her confusion at provocative gravure work and TV drama offers that arrive against her wishes. However, murders targeting those around her begin to occur one after another. Video extras include a Perfect Blue lecture by director Satoshi Kon, promotional footage edited by Satoshi Kon, and the original theatrical trailer, both promotional footage and trailer included in 4K remastered versions. This product has the same specifications and contents as GNXA-7469, released on February 28, 2025, distributed by NBCUniversal Entertainment.
